Perhaps this is a scenario that happens when Maric comes a-visitin' to Orzammar for the Grand Proving, as Cailan mentioned at the end of the Dwarven Noble origin.

I have a question: Since good king Maric is alive and Alistair (most likely) on the throne what happens to Alistair's claim to the throne and Flemeths prophecy of "After your death there will be a blight" this would be a great time for one to. Mage-Templar War, Qunari angry, and the Hero of Ferelden and Champion MIA (the two of the greatest heroes ever) and Maric is probably old so soon may be another funeral and maybe another Blight.

Aw... this is so cute. I made a dwarf noble as my first DAO character. Since then I've made several human females, most of them mages. Since I know all the ins-and-outs of the game now, this makes me want to revisit that character.
